    MY GRADUATION PARTY

Last Saturday I celebrated my graduation with my friends and family. We had such good party and I’m super grateful how everything went so well. A huge thank you for everyone who took part in my special day! <3 I made almost everything myself, including the cakes, the salty pies and other small treats as well as the flower arrangements and other party decorations. My mother and sister helped me with cleaning and putting things into their places. My hubby kept our kids busy so that I could focus on the organizing more efficiently. Thank you all for supporting me <3 A special thank you to my mother, who’s not…

    THE GIFT OF IMAGINATION

TODAY’S KIDS Having an amazing imagination is gift that keeps on giving. These days kids don’t run wild in the nature anymore and let their imagination grow and expand by doing so. Instead they are busy staring their screens like little zombies. Only time they get outside is to go to a nearest park and take 100 shots of themselves to prove it. How can I criticize like this when I’m doing the same thing myself? Because I’ve done my fair share of running around in the forests, building huts and climbing trees and let my imagination go places I physically couldn’t. Kids today haven’t. They are struggling with their…

    PLANNING A MENU

My graduation parties are almost here, less than a week away actually! And yes, you read right, they ARE in PLURAL! The first party is an afternoon coffee reception for my family and other relatives and the second is for my friends! I’m in the midst of planning the menus for each of them. The menus are rather simple and quick to prepare, because I’m going to do them myself. Here’s what I’ve planned so far: in the first menu I’m serving my guests macarons, lemon cheesecake, layered cake with berries, salty pie and some chocolate balls. The second menu serves a rich couscous salad instead of a pie. Otherwise…

PARIS TIPS: 5 OF MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS

So, I think it’s pretty clear by now that Paris stole my heart and so did the restaurants in Paris! I was positively surprised how polite and friendly the service was and how tasty the food was! French food usually divides people to haters and lovers. And I seemed to love it, to my biggest surprise. Thus when in France, one should definitely eat at a restaurant at least once or twice even if the weather was perfect for a baguette in the park kind of picnic. French restaurants are very different starting from the athmosphere and and ending to the menu. For example I’ve never seen a menu translated…

INSPIRATION BOARD FOR MY GRADUATION PARTY

Cakes, champagne, flowers, candles… Here’s my inspiration board from Pinterest. My graduation party is less than a month ago. I’ve decided to have my graduation party at our house. Actually, I’m going to have my party split in two; the afternoon reception is for my family and relatives and the evening party is for our friends. I decided to do it like this because our house doesn’t fit over 40 guests at once… Plus I think it would be a nightmare to host (mainly) alone! Doing it this way, gives me a chance to enjoy my guests as well. The invitations have been sent and I have started practicing on…
