    PACKING MY BAGS AGAIN…

In the beginning of December I’m going to pack my bags for a weekend get-away with my friend Pinja. This was decided in quick moment as she texted me last week and asked for my availability to travel in December. She told me she wanted to visit Saint Petersburg, Russia. I’ve never been there, so I thought to myself why not! We are going by train since it’s so easy. It only takes about three hours to travel across the border. Of course one needs a Visa when crossing the EU borders (and let me tell you, it’s not the simplest thing to get) and that needs to be acquired…

    MY GRADUATION PARTY

Last Saturday I celebrated my graduation with my friends and family. We had such good party and I’m super grateful how everything went so well. A huge thank you for everyone who took part in my special day! <3 I made almost everything myself, including the cakes, the salty pies and other small treats as well as the flower arrangements and other party decorations. My mother and sister helped me with cleaning and putting things into their places. My hubby kept our kids busy so that I could focus on the organizing more efficiently. Thank you all for supporting me <3 A special thank you to my mother, who’s not…

    PLANNING A MENU

My graduation parties are almost here, less than a week away actually! And yes, you read right, they ARE in PLURAL! The first party is an afternoon coffee reception for my family and other relatives and the second is for my friends! I’m in the midst of planning the menus for each of them. The menus are rather simple and quick to prepare, because I’m going to do them myself. Here’s what I’ve planned so far: in the first menu I’m serving my guests macarons, lemon cheesecake, layered cake with berries, salty pie and some chocolate balls. The second menu serves a rich couscous salad instead of a pie. Otherwise…

PARIS TIPS: 5 OF MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS

So, I think it’s pretty clear by now that Paris stole my heart and so did the restaurants in Paris! I was positively surprised how polite and friendly the service was and how tasty the food was! French food usually divides people to haters and lovers. And I seemed to love it, to my biggest surprise. Thus when in France, one should definitely eat at a restaurant at least once or twice even if the weather was perfect for a baguette in the park kind of picnic. French restaurants are very different starting from the athmosphere and and ending to the menu. For example I’ve never seen a menu translated…

5 BOOKS TO READ IN NOVEMBER

Nyt kun gradun kirjoittaminen on jäänyt tauolle (odottelen ohjaajani kommentteja) olen hamstrannut itselleni suuren määrän kirjoja luettavaksi. On aivan ihanaa lukea asioista vapaaehtoisesti ja kiireettä! Viime viikolla luin juuri 500-sivuisen romaanin yhdessä päivässä, ihan vain koska minun ei tarvinnut tehdä mitään muuta. Samaisella viikolla kävin kirjastossa lainaamassa kaksi muutakin kirjaa. Lisäksi kaivoin hyllyjeni kätköistä erään toisen kirjan, jota tänään aloitin lukemaan sekä ostin messuilta Rosebudin outlet-valikoimasta yhden klassikon, jota olin ihaillut muutama viikko sitten kirjastossa graduillessani. Ajattelin seuraavaksi vinkata teille näistä kirjoista, jos vaikka satutte kaipaamaan iltaanne hetkeä self-helpin taikka salapoliisin seurassa! Ensimmäisenä kirjana ja jo lukemani on tämän hetken suosikkikirjailijaltani uusin teos eli Jojo Moyesin Elä rohkeasti. Tämä kirja…
